Mystery & Crime Fiction Blog Carnival - November 2013

It is the first Monday of the month...or a smidgen late - time for another highly anticipated Blog Carnival.

Please help the newsletter for the blog carnival to get more subscribers.  If a blog reviews mystery/suspense/thrillers (even occasionally) then I would like to feature those reviews.  I send the newsletter out once a month announcing the deadline for submitting to this blog carnival.  Multiple entries from a blog are welcome.

Mystery & Crime Fiction Blog Carnival - October 2011

It is the first Monday of the month - time for another highly anticipated Blog Carnival.  Autumn is definitely in the air.  Do you notice the Autumn first from how the air feels and smells different?  I love that.   Anyway, back to the carnival, below is the line-up.  Click on the title or author's name to go to that link.

Police Procedural / PI Book Review

Reactions to Reading reviewed Detective Inspector Huss by Helene Tursten and say it is a thoughtful and engaging book which really does set a high bench mark for novels in the police procedural sub-genre.

Mysteries and My Musings reviewed Hard Spell by Justin Gustainis and says it is a rather hard boiled Mike Hammer meets Dragnet mixed with the paranormal.

How Mysterious reviewed A Trick of the Light by Louise Penny and check out her reviews of several other Louise Penny mysteries.

The BookShop Blog reviewed The January Corpse by Neil Albert as part of her best 100 mystery books series.

Rundpinne reviewed Claim of Innocence by Laura Caldwell and shares it is a fast-paced legal thriller.

Thoughts in Progress reviewed New York to Dallas by J.D. Robb and says it is another pulse-pounding, catch-your-breath case for homicide detective Eve Dallas.

Amateur Sleuth / Cozy book Review

How Mysterious reviewed Bless the Bride by Rhys Bowen the latest in the Molly Murphy series.

Mysteries and My Musings reviewed Ghost Ship by P.J. Alderman and says it is an entertaining lite read with a clever concept of mixing past and present, and where the ghosts are mostly the comic relief.

Book of Secrets reviewed Button Holed by Kylie Logan and says it was a fresh and enjoyable mystery.

Mysteries and My Musings reviewed Naughty in Nice by Rhys Bowen and shares "I don't think I have ever referred to a murder mystery as a rollicking fun romp before, but this book fits that description plus some."

How Mysterious reviewed A Bitter Truth by Charles Todd

Book of Secrets reviewed Mind Over Murder by Allison Kingsley and shares it is an enjoyable start to The Raven's Nest Bookstore series.

Mysteries and My Musings reviewed Sweet Revenge by Andrea Penrose and shares "I found this novel easily rivaled the Sebastion St. Cyr series and for me may (may) have even out done it."

Book of Secrets reviewed Thread Reckoning by Amanda Lee

Mysteries and My Musings reviewed The Broadway Murders by Agata Standford and shares "it captured the excitement of New York and the wild twenties with humor, a solid plot, never dull characters, mixed with large dashes of danger and adventure."

Thriller/Suspense Fiction Book Review

Reactions To Reading reviewed A Walk in the Dark by Gianrico Carofiglio and says it is a beautifully translated and outstandingly good story pitting an honest lawyer against a corrupt system to achieve justice for an abused woman

Fair Dinkum Crime reviewed The Donor by Helen Fitzgerald and shares "What is a father to do when his twin daughters each need a kidney to save their lives? Great characters and a dark sense of humour make this an above average read. How far would a man go to save his children?"

Booking Mama reviewed Spycatcher by Matthew Dunn

Shelf Love reviewed Black Water Rising by Attica Locke and says the book toppled her expectations from the very opening pages.
