Soundtrack Saturday

If you are looking for the Spooktacular Blog Hop, it is the post before this one.  Just scroll down!

Welcome to this blog-meme from Erin over at Hardcover Lover.  The idea is to put a book you are reading to music, following the guidelines.  I will do my best on this new adventure.

I finished reading Just Killing Time by Julianne Holmes, review coming Monday.  Here is my attempt to find the music for the book.

Song that I think goes well with the beginning of the book:

The heroine in this mystery is returning to the only home she knew after her grandfather dies.  Her grandfather ownes a clock shop and she has followed in his footsteps.  This song is about time and how she wishes the rift between them had been patched before he died.

Cher -- Turn Back Time

Song I think fits a character in chosen book:

Since the heroine Ruth Clagan not only fixes and designs fine clocks, she also wears jewelry she creates from steampunk elements with gears, this humorous song seemed fitting.

Reginald Pikedevant -- Just Glue Some Gears On It (And Call It Steampunk)

Song that represents a relationship in this book:

Ruth is dealing with the news of her grandfather's death and her inheritance after a few years of estrangement.  This song seemed appropriate, since Ruth and many people in town miss him.

Justin Hayward -- Forever Autumn

Include a song that fits the ending of the book:

The ending reveals a killer that was hiding a dark side.  This song gets that vibe pretty good.

Gwen Sebastian -- I'm Not Who You Think I Am

Soundtrack Saturday

I have been on vacation this week.  It was a last minute decision to go to the Grand Canyon, so I was unable to post this week.  But I am back and thought I would begin a blog-meme from Erin over at Hardcover Lover.  The idea is to put a book you are reading to music, following the guidelines.  I will do my best on this new adventure.

I am currently reading Daniel Silva's THE HEIST, the fourteenth in Daniel Silva's Gabriel Allon series. Gabriel is an art restorer and occasional spy/Mossad Assassin.  So here is what I have devised for a Soundtrack for the book thus far.

Song that I think goes well with the beginning of the book:  Another Way To Die by Jack White

Song I think fits a character in chosen book:  Gabriel Allon's song is The Windmills of Your Mind by Dusty Springfield (not Nobody Does it Better-- he's more complicated.)

Song that represents a relationship in this book:  For Your Eyes Only for Gabriel and Chiara's relationship

Include a song that fits the ending of the book:
O Fortuna (Piano/Cello Cover) by the PianoGuys

Let me know if you like this new feature...or if you have other songs that you think of for this book.
